URBAN-SPIN: A Street-Level Bikeability Index
to Inform Urban Design Implementations in Cambridge

This research explores how visual street features influence cyclists’ perceptions and how this relationship can inform evidence-based design strategies at the street level. A systematic review, highlighted the lack of multi-scale cycling perception research. Building on this, current work aims to establish a street-level bikeability index that links cyclists’ subjective experiences with objective street design features to inform future design implementations in Cambridge
